Clutch unengaging and sliping

Symptoms:

  • While in flight, brutal loss of power that force you to do an autorotation.
  • Engine RPM increase brutaly.
Reasons

  • clutch sliping:
  • OR It is causes by stripped one-way bearing
Cure:

  • Check the liner on the clutch, if it’s worn replace it,
  • Be sure there is no fuel residue on the liner.
  • Change the one way bearing
  • Change the cluctch.
Attention:

  • Check the clutch itself, all that slipping=overheating it may need to be replaced as well…..
