I am a very happy user of Joomla! tags from Phil Taylor. My only complaints is that it is still not part of Joomla!® core.

Joomla!® Tags is a Joomla Extension for adding tags to Joomla!® Content.
Use Joomla Tags to allow content classification by keywords (Tags), can also be used to create virtual categories to add content into, over coming Joomla!® single section/category structure

Twitter is a free service that lets you keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

A very simple module with a great output layout that require flash 9 for properly operations. I use it on my site (at the bottom)

• it output valid XHTML 1.0 Strict
• Since it is a Joomla! module, it is easily customizable and can be place anywhere in your Joomla! template
• It allow all operations of Twitter on your blog! people can reply or follow you in one click

I did optimize a bit my Joomla! homepage in the last few days. This has been achieved with

• Enabling Joomla module caching in all 3rd party module where it was missing/ not implemented at all,
• Starting to offload some assets (JavaScript) to faster hosting,

This is a small module for Joomla! 1.5/1.6 that allow you to display a set of images from your favorite online gallery: Smugmug, Flickr, Picasa or any RSS feed.

I did integrate the Flickr widget from RoyTanck.com as a Joomla! module. This version do not depend on Roy’s site, and run offline if needed as i rewrite the RSS parsing code myself.

• Your Smugmug/ Picasa/Gallery 2 or Flickr RSS feed. To get feed URL one for your Flickr photo stream, simply go to your photo stream's page and right-click the little orange RSS icon at the bottom. Select ‘Copy link location’ or ‘Copy shortcut’ and paste it into the form below. For Picasa, there’s a link called ‘RSS’ at the bottom right of the ‘My Photos’ page, and a small icon on the sidebar on other pages. For Smugmug the icon is located at the bottom of the page.
• The dimensions for the widget. This depends almost entirely from the layout of your website. Square aspect rations work best (equal width and height). At very large sizes (400px and up) the thumbnails might have bigger pixels than usual.
• The background color for the widget. You can use Colorpicker.com to get the right value for your website. The selected color serves only as a backup if ‘Use background transparency’ is selected.
• RSS feed is also optional Photowidget also support up to 10 images on your server.

Thanks to Skype web integration, making a button to show your online status has never been so easier.

Attention, you will also

• Somehow  loose some privacy as anybody will be able to call you/chat with you
• Need to change your Skype privacy settings to show your status online learn more

1. Copy the code Snippet in an empty file in your Joomla! root. For the example, lets call it
   skypeme.html
2. In the module manager, create a copy the module 'wrapper', rename the copy to 'skypeme' 
   (or whatever make sense for you)
3. Edit the 'skypeme'  module settings,
4. Under "Module Parameters", set the URL to http://yourjoomlasite/skypeme.html
5. Publish the module

If you need to support multiple Skype account, I recommend you to use one of the extensions at
Joomla extension in online status category.

Reason: I did change a lot of folder name and file casing casing to be more Joomla compliant
Don’t be scared you will not loose any Tags or data from your database! uninstalling do not remove currently any tables!

CedTag  has been updated to version 2.5.6 and contains a lot of nice new and exciting features. For existing users the update will display in the Extensions Manager under Updates. If you do not have this currently installed, you can click the link below and install as normal via the Extensions Manager.
