CedSmugmug  has been updated to version 2.6.2 and correct one bugs and contains some nice features. CedSmugmug package all you ever need to support Smugmug library in Joomla. It consist in a set of 4 modules, 3 plugins and 3 editor buttons.

To update your extension, either download the latest extension packages from the download section of CedSmugmug or update via the Joomla Extensions Update interface.

Whats New

NEW  compatibility improved for Joomla 2.5 and also now for Joomla 3.0

BUG Button in the backend was always working properly while when being logged in the the frontend of the site, It was returning an error 404.

First time installation

Download the latest copy of cedSmugmug, and under Extensions → Install / Uninstall  and install with the fresh copy.

I have way too much article now on this site...I just can't find any articles anymore (except with Google). That's the right time to introduce tags!

Tags are used to store information about a document, image or other online content to help searching. Social networking web sites such as Flickr.com (photo-sharing) and del.icio.us (bookmark sharing) use member-created tags as a means of organizing and popularizing content.

Unfortunately Joomla! does not have this functionality in its core... but thanks to Joomla! extensible plugin architecture, many solutions are available:

Joomla Tags Component and Tag Cloud Module

A promising component with Ajax and nearly all functionality of joomla! Tags, it is for sure not as mature and still in alpha stage for both Joomla! 1.0 and Joomla! 1.5.x

Installation:
You'll need to install the Tag Component and the Tag Content Plugin and publish it in order to get it working.
Optional are the Tag Cloud Module and the Auto Tag Plugin.

Tag Cloud Component Features:

• It can be linked to the menu, to display a tag cloud in its own page. eg: http://www.visitirelandguide.com/tags/
• It can display tagged content in a list: http://www.visitirelandguide.com/tags/ireland/

Joomla Tag Content Plugin Features:

• Displays the tags inline in articles
• Registered users can add tags.
• Adding tags is done via AJAX in the background, while the tags update automatically.

Joomla Tag Cloud Module Features:

• Displays a tag cloud - alphabetical, with tag density determining size of the tag.
• Displays a related tag cloud - A density based cloud for the content being viewed, whether section, category, or list of tagged articles, or list of tags.

Joomla Auto Tag Plugin Features:

• Automatically tags each Content Item when viewed.
• At the moment, single keyword tags are pulled from the title, however we plan to add full context analysis, 2,3 word phrases, stemming etc. in the future versions.

So you can expect to enjoy tags on my site in a near future... as soon as I did test all 3 solutions on my test site.

Warning

IT IS MANDATORAY TO COMPLETELY REMOVE ALL VERSION < 2.6.0 BEFORE INSTALLING THIS NEW ONE!
Go to the Extension Manager under the tab Manage, enter in filter "tag", select all and click Actions – Uninstall
Reason: I did change a lot of folder name and file casing casing to be more Joomla compliant
Don’t be scared you will not loose any Tags or data from your database! uninstalling do not remove currently any tables!

The first release of my Smugmug Slideshow module running natively against the latest beta/trunk of Joomla! 1.6

This module is a front end for the myriad of parameter that can set for the Smugmug flash applet.
A great visual and a lot of features are built into this widget.

  I started writing a new plugin for Smugmug galleries, and after 30 minutes of coding, here are some results!

If you add this in an article at any place, even multiple times a line like

{smugmugrandom uri=http://cedricwalter.smugmug.com id=7421071 key=53xgf limit=10 size=200x200}

you’ll get that result, a default CSS will be provided and to let you customized the layout.

The extension will be available soon, I need time to document the extension in my WIKI, push the extension to my download section, commit the code to http://code.google.com/p/smugmug-joomla/

CedTag  has been updated to version 2.5.1 and correct a lot of bugs and contains some nice features.

CedTag is the continuation of the GPL component Joomla Tags (www.joomlatags.org), Most of the code has been rewritten according to the new standard of Joomla 2.5, the component has been greatly extended and most bugs have been removed. I will continue removing, refactoring existing codebase, in order to be able to add new features faster.

CedTag is used on this site with more than 5000 tags in 2200 articles.
