Lampe Berger was born in 1898 when Maurice Berger discovered a process to purify the air with the catalytic combustion of ozoalcohol. Initially it was used only by the medical field for its antibacterial powers. Today you can find Lampe Berger oil fragrance lamps in homes around the world.

I have now more than 50 and here are the latest five to join my collection:

The HP-40G is an algebraic entry only graphing calculator from HP. Based on the HP-38G design, numerous firmware improvements and the inclusion of a CAS made this a very capable math platform. The HP39g and the HP 40g were both released during the year 2000. They are made on the same hardware platform with 1MB of ROM, 256KB of RAM and have 51 keys. The physical difference between the HP39g and the HP 40g is the IR port - 40g does not have IR port.

This calculator is also having the MetaKernel build in and the picture I did pixel by pixel on 20th march 1998 signed “CW” in the bottom left corner when you cold start it (ON-C no data loss, just a software reset). This work with any HP50g including emulators since the image is in the rom.

The HP40g has the same mathematical capabilities as the HP 49.

• 131x64 pixel, 8 line x 22 char. LCD
• Algebraic ROM  1024 KB,
• RAM/no. of variables or registers : 256 KB/unlimited
• Over 750 built-in functions

Production des scooters bernardet

Le E.51 (125 cm3) fait son apparition en 1951, il est en fait un prototype plus léger
annonciateur de la deuxième génération. Trois motorisations sont prévues:

125 cm3 - 4 vitesses pour le E.51
250 cm3 - 4 vitesses pour le D.51
125 cm3 - moteur YDRAL pour le Y.52

BERNARDET tente, en 1954, une version monoplace appelée le CABRI (50 cm3) qui sera le signe du renouveau.
Ce scooter ne pèse que 34 kg et représente l'archétype du scooter urbain : léger et maniable.
Fin 1954, la cylindrée passe à 85 cm3. Au Salon de 1955, le CABRI acquiert un nouveau moteur et passe à 40 kg.

Début 1956, le CABRI subit une ultime évolution mais la relève se profilait déjà depuis
fin 1955 avec le GUEPARD prévu en deux versions 125 et 200 bicylindre.

La gamme CABRI-GUEPARD disparaît en 1959 avec la liquidation de BERNARDET-LE POULAIN.

I recently added a HP 49g to my collection of HP calculators (Price paid: 3 euro). This model is not very loved by owner and is sometimes described as the worst model of HP calculator for the following reasons:

1. The keys are soft and VERY imprecise: you need to press hard to enter data.
2. Display harder to read than contemporary hi-end graphing
3. Bad documentation compare to the HP46 series
4. The default mode of the calculator is not RPN. To use the far superior RPN mode, press the mode key and choose RPN and clear flag 117 to make the calculator behaves just as an HP 48.
5. HP has removed the equation library because it was forbidden in some colleges, but you can install it from here like any other program

The latest operating system ROM are available at http://www.hpcalc.org/hp49/pc/rom/

• Rectifier la planéité du haut de culasse: Le haut de culasse peut se poncer au papier de verre grain 400 a sec sur un marbre (ou toutes pièces metal ajusté comme l'établie sur une ponceuse à colonne), attention ne pas tourner mais poncer avec les 2 mains a plat et en croix. je m'explique:
  poncer la culasse 5 ou 6 aller retour les 2 mains a plat et bien droit de bas en haut, puis rotation de 90° de la culasse et rebelotte de bas en haut puis a 45° et ainsi de suite, cela permet de rattrapper le jeu si il y a et c'est truc de vieux garagiste...
• Sauver un réservoir et oter le dépot au fond: souvent les reservoirs sont mort mais pas forcement troués, une couche d'essence seché au fond, inataquable a l'acide, essence, toluene et diluant divers (au tournevis et encore). Un concessionnaire m'a dit de le cuire dans l'eau bouillante 1h sur un rechaud. bien sur sécher, huiler et remplir d'essence a ras bord le plus tot possible. Incroyable bien sur cela detruit la peinture mais le résultat est éblouissant.
