      Askimet is a service hosted at www.askimet.com which use traind bayesian filters and other measure to categorize comments as spam or not spam. User can find  the Akismet plug-in for WordPress or one of the third party Akismet implementations

      What is bad  is that there is currently no Joomla! implementation for Askimet, until now! I will deliver shortly a new component, which act  one more time as a framework, and let 3rd party components integrate Askimet in their code. OpenComment will be the first Joomla! plugin to use that new possibility!

      Askimet statistics:

      • 543,878,439 spams caught so far
      • 1,544,713 so far today
      • 94% of all comments are spam

      opencomment has some basic spam filter.

      * securityimages in 3.0.24
      automatic delete/force review if comment has * one or more url in title or
      comment body text in 3.0.24
      * a la hashcash crypto hidden fields in 3.0.21

      la verdad este Componente es extraordinario, lo malo que no se porque pero solo
      me funciona bien para Firefox :-) y no para :? IE. Bueno esperaremos la
      siguiente versión.

      I don't really like Askimet that much to be honest, I always find comments that
      are in my spam folder that are not spam! And it happens to me sometimes too,
      I'll comment something and it will show as spam.

      Ah well ;)
