SecurityImages 3.0.5 release Print E-mail

One way to crack CAPTCHA  is to offer a free porn site which requires that the user  key in the solution to a captcha -- which has been inlined from my site for example -- before he can gain access. Free porn images or video attract a lot of users around the clock and in many countries.
SecurityImages 3.0.5 try to solve this issue by adding a text in the generated picture.

  • NEW: Hncaptcha 1.0 has been modified
  • NEW: Core 1.1 has been modified
Download it at Joomlaforge or in my download section

Joomla 1.08 patches?
mihha (89.172.22.xxx) 2006-06-15 13:02:05

Does the file with patches that you provide in your download section contains
original Joomla files or updated?

The reason for my question is that if I
upload those files to my server and overwrite original I can't see any
difference.

Security image is not shown in login form.

of course, these files are patched...

But maybe you forget to activate
securityimages joomla switches in the administrator panel of securityimages...
(3 or 4 radio button are there)

No. Everything is activated.
I am using akocomment and everything is fine.

I
don't understand. If I open login.php and login.html.php that you provided I
don't see security images code in it.

How is that possible?
Please, help me with issue
Mihha (89.172.4.xxx) 2006-06-16 11:44:37

Walter,

please, please help me.

I don't understand the Joomla 1.08 patch
that you provided. If I simply overwrite default files with the files that you
provided I don't see security images in login component.

What am I doing
wrong?
Guests get refused by Antispam System
Benson (80.218.100.xxx) 2006-05-31 14:51:49

As mentioned in the comments for the 3.0.4-News and in the bugtracker on joomla
forge, guests can't enter something into akobook, JASubmit. If it's protected
with Security Images 3.0.4 or the 3.0.5, the entry gets always refused!

If
you need a link to my site where you can see the problem leave me a mail!

I'm
very interested in integrating your component into other components, but as long
as it doesn't work for my guest's i wont do anything.

cheers,
Benson

Logged in users get refused And I will provide a new release of AkoCommentPlus
Mambot. In fact there is a javascript error, (only for logged in users) which do
not permit You to submit a comment.

Please give me your url, the guest
akobook problem is not common...

Ive solve the problem by releasing a new mambot version (version 2.0.3) see in
my download section.

core 1.1 not working
Guest (200.125.19.xxx) 2006-06-19 19:05:10

Hi
after upgrading to joomla! 1.0.9 Stable, patching it and removing
securityimages 304 and installing 305 can't use core 1.1.
The image does not
appear, only the alt text.
freecap and hncaptcha do appear but the image is too
samll and unreadable.
Before the upgrade it worked like a charm
old mambo
Guest (84.73.235.xxx) 2006-06-30 21:51:20

Dear Walter,
I run an old version of mambo (4.5 Stable-1.0.9 [Spider]
28/06/2004) and I was wondering if I could install your security images. I am
using AkoBook V3.1 beta 1 and AkoComment V1.0 beta 2
I also get spam through
the contact us form... would it work there?
Thanks
d a n i : )

Hi Walter,

Tried to submit an example of error message post-install, but my
submission was blocked.

Where can I post install questions?

Kind
regards,
Greg.
