New JIRA Bug Tracking system for all my Joomla! components!

I am very proud to announce that I got granted a JIRA and Bamboo Open Source license!

Extract form their site:
Open Source

Atlassian supports and believes in the Open Source movement - JIRA utilises a number of good Open Source components, and Atlassian developers are committers on a large number of Open Source projects.

To give back to the open source community (and hopefully improve the quality of those projects!), JIRA is free for any Open Source project to use.

There are a few requirements for an Open Source license, the main ones being:

  • Established code base
  • Publicly available project website
  • Using an approved open source license
  • Your JIRA instance will be publicly accessible

That was my submission to JIRA :

Project Description

All  my code is GPL and hosted at www.joomlacode.org, binaries are all available at http://www.waltercedric.com/joomla-releases-mainmenu-269.html and I have a well established reputation since 2004 in Joomla!  community. My forums http://forums.waltercedric.com/ has more than 1000 members,  my wiki is at http://wiki.waltercedric.com and the some of my GPL project I am maintaining can be seen at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/owner/cedric_walter/1

My code is focused on fighting spammers and recently increasing Joomla! performances. I am also now trying to develop a continuous build strategy for Joomla! extensions.

I would like to use JIRA with Eclipse MYLYN to speed up my development and increase the overall quality of my releases. Bamboo would be used to develop the continuous build strategy and the development of the GPL underlying framework.

You must be evaluating our products on a publicly assessable website. If you are not, then please come back to this application when you have done so. *

My tracker is at http://bugs.waltercedric.com

Thanks for your consideration and contribution to the open source community.

Open Source License(s) used: *

GPL v2 and v3

Where can we download your source code? *

http://joomlacode.org/gf/user/cedric.walter/?action=Projects

but too much project to be listed here, anonymous SVN access is always possible. I am admin in all these projects

So what does that mean for You?

Mantis is no more used, and replaced by JIRA. Soon I will provide in my WIKI a how to connect to JIRA within Eclipse PDT targeted at developers. And will start feeding the Bug Tracker with previous/new issues. Feel free to register and report there any wishes, bugs...

A warm thanks to Atlassian for supporting the open source community, Thanks You Atlassian
