fully indexed, and 1,000 search every second of every day, are
performed on this data volume....
- 104 search page frontend including Klingon and Tagalog,
- Up to 2,000 PCs in a cluster and over 30 clusters,
- One petabyte (10^15) of data in a cluster,
- Sustained transfer rates of 2Gbps in a cluster,
- An expectation that two machines will fail every day in each of the larger clusters
- No complete system failure since February 2000
