Stability of my Site

So my site has been deactivated yesterday and today. It has been reactivated today 04.11.2005 at 10:00 GMT+1 in order to let me do some actions

I am currently working on it...
* I have supress the redirect (index.html) to /Mambo/index.php
* I have moved Joomla from /Mambo to the root of {www.waltercedric.com}
* I have empty all content cache of Joomla
* I have modified the .htaccess accordingly (rewrite from /Mambo to /)
* I have suppres all 15500 known rewriting URL from {SEF404} database!
Together with the Company {www.cineteck-fr.com} (monitoring).
Next status from Cineteck at 18:00 GMT+1, if it is still catastrophic, I will slowly deactivated Joomla Components/Modules/Mambots in the hope to localize the problem.
If everything goes well, You will be able to read me tonight and tomorrow, if not the site will be switch off as it overcharge the hosting company.

My site has been put offline because of the workload it put on my provider infrastructure...

It seems that the {SEO/SEF} engine (www.open-sef.org) combined with the number of visitors (1300 daily), hits (1.8M monthly), bandwidth (11 to 16Gb monthly) stress the mySQL server too much. My site also run on a machine where there is already 90 others clients. My recent popularity is related to the open source development I am doing for Joomla (7 GPL projects hosted at {www.joomla.org}):

* com_hashcash Hashcash technology for Joomla Forcing the spammer to pay the price (computing power) before submitting rubish to Your homepage (comments, guestbook for example). The user will have to create a new cryptographic value of a hidden field (Javascript code provided) and that may take 1 to 2 seconds, but may be more with RSA 1024.... This also do not allow robot to easily submit code without parsing Your HTML page before... Hashcash definition: A sender of non-spam posting attached a hidden field from his post which proves that he has invested a modest amount of computer time into solving a small puzzle, often involving the recipient's email address. The receiver can, at negligible computational cost, verify that a sender had solved the puzzle. This can be regarded as a form of numerical stamp, where the 'cash' part is the effort invested by the sender. The theory is that spammers, whose business model relies on their ability to send large numbers of emails with very little cost per message, cannot afford this investment into each individual piece of spam they send. * My Google Ranking: 5/10 which is huge for a personal page.

Basically, I will have to go from a mutualised Server web hosting (45€/yearly) to a Dedicated Server web hosting (159€/monthly)

• Shri (Hong Kong) from  you-review.net has offered me to host my site on a dual xeon 2GB RAM (the same machine which is hosting www.rubix-linux.org and  you-review.net).
• My friends at THE xDreamTeam (CH) which offered me to take a part of their  server MR2 at www.strato.de (root access)

• Gary Reid (UK-USA)- The Venture Kit - has offered me one of his shared servers I get sorted out
  with a dedicated server.

• Steven Pignataro (USA) from themirrorimages.com has proposed me some links to hosting providers (www.rochen.com or www.psek.com).
• Darrell Beaujon (Aruba - Antilles islands) - homepage www.e-senseit.com, a ViaVerio hosting reseller, has proposed me a VPS at cost price.

• Colin (Canada) from www.coffeecrew.com has offered me to do a new templates, so the previous orange templates will disappear during the migration to the new server.

• While I can not reduce the number of visitors, I will contact developer of www.open-sef.org and will help them in their development (temporary I have too many things to do) and optimize the speed of their SEO/SEF engine (probably serializing rules in htaccess)....

• Server MR2 has been ordered, hope to be online end of next week

• Securityimages will be ready in 3.0.0 just after the migration
• Joomlacloud will be ready in 1.0.X just after the migration
