La Manufacture du Haut Rhin présente en 1956 le MR75 qui est une réplique du modèle allemand HOBBY de DKW. Au Salon de 1957, MANURHIN améliore légèrement son scooter. En 1958, la firme allemande DKW cède à MANURHIN l'exclusivité du modèle HOBBY. Bien qu'apparu tardivement sur le marché le MANURHIN s'y fera une place honnête grâce à sa maniabilité, sa tenue de route et son silence.
