 Many users have reported issues in my forums, it is currently not possible to install SecurityImages 5.1.0 in the latest version of Joomla! 1.5.8
I already test the following locally in my developer environment - A previous version of SecurityImages 5.0.0RC1 is properly installing in Joomla! 1.5.8 but you need to install also the system plugin manually
- The latest version of SecurityImages 5.1.0 is properly installing in Joomla! 1.5.5, 1.5.6 and 1.5.7 but not in Joomla! 1.5.8
- If I remove in SecurityImages 5.1.0 the automatic install of the system plugin along with the component, the install succeed but you need to install also the system plugin manually
So it seems that installing the component through the Joomla! installer framework, together with a system plugin (using install.securityimages.php) in one shot is no more possible due to...??? I am still investigating, but that will take a bit of time as there is no error in logs files of apache, php and Joomla!

We're excited to announce the availability of never-before-seen images from the LIFE photo archive. This effort to bring offline images online was inspired by our mission to organize all the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. This collection of newly-digitized images includes photos and etchings produced and owned by LIFE dating all the way back to the 1750s.
Only a very small percentage of these images have ever been published. The rest have been sitting in dusty archives in the form of negatives, slides, glass plates, etchings, and prints. We're digitizing them so that everyone can easily experience these fascinating moments in time. I did upgrade today a Joomla! installation that was quite old: Joomla! 1.0.11 so this site hasn't been updated at all in the last 810 days :-( As it was difficult to find the package 1.0.11 to 1.0.15 since Joomla Code is no more providing it, see the picture below 
I've decided to open my own Joomla! mirror It contains all versions of Joomla! since the beginning... 450Mb of files Enjoy :-)
